Whenever June comes around, I get a little melancholy. It's a true pleasure to watch my students grow over our two years together, and it's always a bit sad to say goodbye. Some of you started in Music Man, some of you performed in all three of the possible productions in which you could've taken part (which means you understand when I mention Shelley Duvall, Sam forgetting to come in with her line, and teaching Kristina to be flirty), and some of you joined our merry band of misfits for this year's musical. We met our first Newsie last year and spoke with a comrade of his this year; we participated in team building exercises and focus work with a dynamic performer in a true NYC rehearsal space. A lot of memories made! I know that no matter where my 8th graders are headed, they will continue to have incredible experiences on and off the stage. Thanks for my 7th AND 8th graders for an incredible year in the theatre. I can't wait to hear 15 years down the road about all of the amazing things you're doing!
